STORE MANAGEMENT

Global technical structure

The central server is responsible for communicating with the database and interacting with stores via the internet, sending and receiving real-time data updates.

Corporate offices can monitor the sales trends in stores in real-time through Style's Business Intelligence (B.I.).

Offices or stores can always (if enabled) view online the situation of all store inventories and availability specifically assigned to them. They can manage product relocation requests efficiently, especially for items running low in one store and possibly in excess in others.

Stores communicate with the central server by receiving and sending updates in parallel with their normal operations. They can access data analyses relevant to their operations.

Central Server:

The central server is composed of a standard installation of Style. No additional hardware is required. The central server prepares store update data in a lightweight, encrypted format that can be sent via the internet.

Corporate Offices:

Corporate offices have access to store sales data and can modify items, price lists, or any other data within the store's jurisdiction. The central server autonomously handles distributing any updates to store clients.

Stores:

Stores carry out their regular tasks. Transparently to the operators, the store updates sales data in the corporate central server. To receive and send updates, the store must be connected to the internet. Cash register functions are entirely parallel and independent of the internet (and its connection speed) and work even when offline at local installation speeds.

The installation of a store server and cash register clients is automatic and requires a few simple authentication steps. Any further updates are automatic, and software updates occur using Java Web Start technology without requiring operator intervention.

Point of Sale (POS) computers are regular PCs equipped with the Style software. The POS computer is responsible for interacting with the store's peripherals such as scanners, printers, and cash registers. These computers are designed to support various types of cash registers.

Point of Sale Functions

Point of Sale functions can be accessed through the dedicated menu item following Style standards.

The cash register is structured with all the common operations that a cashier needs to perform, featuring an optimized graphical user interface designed to facilitate their work (shortcut functions or keys tailored for the touch screen).

Through the dedicated functions, one can access various peripherals connected to the cash registers.

The supported payment methods are those commonly used in commerce, and it's always possible to customize them based on specific needs.

In addition to regular activities, the cash register supports gift vouchers, returns, and even the suspension of one or more receipts, managing receipts and analyses regarding the store's performance.
